Entry Requirements at University of Exeter
For Undergraduate Courses
- Typically requires overall percentage of 80 from CBSE or ICSE boards in the 12th standard
- Students applying from West Bengal need 70% or above
- Students from rest of the India state boards require 85% or above
- If students fail the above criteria, they must take foundation year to take entry into undergraduate programs.
For Postgraduate Courses
- Grade equivalent to UK 2:1 or 2:2 bachelor’s degree is compulsory. Few courses requires higher requirements
For Research Courses
- A master’s degree with required percentage, and supported by research proposal
For English Language Proficiency
- IELTS – 6.5 overall and no component less than 6.0
- TOEFL iBT – 90 overall, with sub scores of 21 in writing, 21 in listening, 22 in reading and 23 in speaking
- PTE Academic – 58 overall, and no sec less than 55
- 75% is the acceptance rate of the university
