Scholarships offered by the University of Essex
Essex Global Partner Scholarship – Indian students who are progressing from O.P Jindal University to the Essex University are eligible for 10% discount in the tuition fee every year of the undergraduate course for specified programs or £1500 evenly released every year. Thus scholarship is only for international fee paying undergraduate students only.

South Asia Scholarship – university offers a scholarship assistance of £4000 for first year of undergraduate programs in all departments. Indian students applying for 2025/26 intakes, self funding, domiciled in India are eligible for tuition fee reduction in the first year only. University will assess the students eligibility during enrollment, no separate application is needed for this scholarship.
Academic Excellence International Master’s Scholarship – Indian students applying for January 2025 intake in taught master’s programs in all departments are eligible for £4000 tuition fee reduction for the first year only. This scholarship is based on academic excellence, students should have at least 55% with equivalent CGPA of 6/10 in the bachelor’s degree to be eligible. University will assess your transcripts and other certificates to award scholarship at the time of enrollment. Separate application is not required.
Essex Global Talent Scholarship – international students aspiring to enroll for both bachelors and master’s programs from all departments are eligible for 50% fee discount in the first year only. For eligibility, students must be self funding with excellent academic and extracurricular record. This scholarship is applicable for 2025/26 intakes only. A separate application downloaded from the website must be submitted before May 15th 2025.
Placements offered by the University of Essex
Internships – university offers internships to students for getting the in-depth knowledge of the business settings. It also encourage employers to offer permanent employment during the course of internship as per the talent of the students. Internships duration is between 6 weeks to 01 year. Entry Requirements for the University of Essex
For Undergraduate Courses
- Minimum 70% is required in 12 th standard for entry in undergraduate programs.
- For English Language Proficiency.
- IELTS – overall 6.0 and 5.5 in each component.
- Students who scored 70% or above in the 12 th standard are exempted from English language tests.
For Postgraduate Courses
- 50-55% in bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement. A CGPA of 5.3/10 or 5.8/10 is also mandatory as per the Indian university.
