Established in 1967, Canadore College is a publicly funded college with campuses in Ontario, Canada with its main campus located at North Bay, Ontario. Access and Inclusion Support: Canadore College Canadore offers the Access and Inclusion Office to help with academic accommodation, name change, cultural celebrations, and specialized workshops. It also means doing everything possible to ensure that every student feels valued and supported.
Mental Health and Wellness: The college offers on-campus and virtual mental health services, access to a triage nurse, counselling appointments and wellness programs. “As well as one-on-one therapy to help students deal with emotional and mood problems,” the university adds. Aviation Campus (North Bay): One of the top aviation and aerospace colleges. Airplane hangars, runways, and sim labs. It is an ideal location for students with a flight ops and aero mechanics concentration.
West Parry Sound Campus: Halfway between Barrie and Sudbury, the campus features health care and community service programs have small classes and close student communities.

Scholarships Offered by Canadore College
Youth in Care Bursary: This award is a joint bursary presented by Canadore and Nipissing University in support of a student, who is the charge of a Canadian Children’s Aid Society. Five bursaries are granted annually. Prospective parents would need to establish that their care history was tracked.
First Generation Student Bursary: This bursary is specifically for students who will be the first in their family to attend university. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide information about their family’s educational history.

Indigenous Student Awards: Canadore has special bursaries and scholarships for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students. Stipends are provided in fluctuating sums, and applicants must be full-time enrolled students and identify as Indigenous to be eligible.
Academic Excellence Scholarship: Awarded to students who maintain a high average GPA (where average varies for around 3.5 or 85%) on all their classes. International and home students will be granted, and the number of scholarships is CAD 500 -CAD 1,500.
Canadore International Entrance Scholarship: Entrance Scholarship for new international students with excellent average of prior studies, maximum of CAD 1,000. (It is given out based on performance in high school and overall application strength.)

Entry Requirements at Canadore College
Undergraduate Programs: Applicants are required to have passed high school or the equivalent. International applicants need to provide official transcripts and may be subject to a minimum Grade 12 English requirement. A handful of programs, particularly in health and aviation, require some additional math or science coursework.
Postgraduate Certificates: Applicants must have at least a college, higher education, or equivalent degree and in a relevant field. Some programs require work experience. Students are also requested to provide supportive files such as a resume or portfolio.

English Language Requirements: Plus, in most of the courses, the candidate should be good with English (International students). Accepted scores include:
- IELTS: Overall, 6.0 and no bands less than 5.5.
- TOEFL iBT: 79 or above.

Mature Student Entry: Older applicants aged 19 and over without a high school diploma may be considered through Canadore’s entry programs. These programs help build academic skills before entering a full-time program.
Application Process: This is an application through the Ontario Collages web site. Transcripts, documented evidence, and English evidence are required. International students may also need to submit a study permit.

Moderately Selective Admissions: Canadore College has an acceptance rate of approximately 70%, therefore, it is a selective institution. This compromise exists to give the widest range of students the possibility of attaining the required level of performance expected of them in all aspects of its programs.
Clear and Timely Admission Process: Once an application has been made in full, applicants receive an offer letter within 4 weeks. Admission decisions are based on academic history, English test scores and other program requirements.
Multiple Intake Periods: Entry is in Fall (September) and Winter (February), so students can begin their college when it suits them best. (Some programs might also provide programming in Spring semester pending availability and demand. There are no specific deadlines for international students at Canadore, however candidates are advised to apply 4-5 months before the day that their programs start. This allows time to process visas and for delegates to organize accommodation and travel plans.
Accessible Entry Requirements: Some programs of study have higher academic expectations and/or specific prerequisites, including the some much sought-after health and aviation programs, but the majority are intended to be open to any student. There are also lower-level courses for older learners or students without a typical school background.
