Masters in Digital Marketing in France: Fees, Schools and 2026 Admission

Masters in Digital Marketing in France
Masters in Digital Marketing in France

Masters in Digital Marketing in France is available at four verified business schools, with 2026 tuition ranging from EUR 17,950 for a one-year route (GEM) to EUR 38,000 for a two-year MSc (SKEMA), before additional fees (about INR 19.83 lakh to INR 41.98 lakh) (SKEMA Business School, MSc Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence, 2026). Three run a dedicated digital-marketing MSc (SKEMA, Rennes SB and GEM); NEOMA offers a broader MSc Marketing with a Digital & Data Marketing track. All four are taught in English. Aura separately advertises Digital Marketing as an MBA Business specialisation at a lower fee, but applicants should obtain written confirmation that the specialisation is available for 2026 before counting on it. If you have heard France is “basically free” and are worried about the price tag here, that low-cost story is a different route: public universities, not the private business schools that run these degrees. What follows is a school-by-school fee table verified against each institution’s own 2026 page, plus the real all-in budget, admission rules and work rights. Start with the Key Takeaways below.

Key Takeaways

  • Verified 2026 tuition runs from EUR 17,950 (GEM, one-year) to EUR 38,000 (SKEMA, two-year), before service or admin fees.
  • Four verified MSc options relevant to digital marketing: SKEMA, Rennes SB and GEM run dedicated digital-marketing MScs, and NEOMA’s MSc Marketing has a Digital & Data Marketing track. All are taught in English. Aura is a lower-cost MBA alternative whose 2026 Digital Marketing specialisation you must confirm first.
  • Your bachelor’s length and each school’s own credit rules decide whether you enter a one-year or a two-year track, and the exact rule differs by school.
  • No GMAT or GRE is listed as mandatory on the current SKEMA, NEOMA, Rennes or GEM admission pages; confirm for your intake and profile, and check directly with Aura.
  • Budget living costs of EUR 600 to 800 a month outside Paris (about EUR 900 to 1,200 inside Paris), plus the EUR 105 CVEC or an exemption certificate.
  • You can work up to 964 hours a year (an annual cap, supplementary income only); it cannot replace the visa proof of funds.
  • September is the main intake; SKEMA also opens a January start.

For the September 2026 intake, four verified English-taught MSc options relevant to digital marketing sit in a clear price band shaped by brand and track length. NEOMA Business School's MSc Marketing (with a Digital & Data Marketing track) costs EUR 19,500 (about INR 21.54 lakh) for the one-year route, including EUR 500 admin, or EUR 30,500 for the two-year International Pre-Master route (NEOMA Business School, MSc Marketing: Digital, Luxury and Global Strategy, 2026). Two-year tracks cost more than one-year direct-entry ones.

The four programmes below each sit at a private school, so here is the side-by-side to filter by budget before you fall for a campus city. Every figure comes from each school’s own 2026 fee page. These are four established French business schools, not public universities; because they are private, with institution-set fees, the government’s public-tuition rules do not apply to these numbers. A lower-cost MBA alternative, Aura, is covered separately below the school profiles. You can see how this route fits the wider picture in our study in France guide.

What this means for you: your bachelor’s length and your budget decide the shortlist more than the ranking does. A one-year track is cheaper and faster; a two-year track may include internships or permit an alternance (a paid work-study contract), depending on the programme, your eligibility and whether you can secure a contract. Campus France also limits first-year alternance to qualifying state-recognised or CGE-approved programmes. Two names worth adding to your research, though we could not verify their 2026 fees for this piece, are Montpellier Business School and IESEG.

SKEMA Business School

For 2026-27 entry, SKEMA lists EUR 19,000 (about INR 20.99 lakh) for the one-year MSc and EUR 38,000 for the two-year version, with a EUR 500 service fee for each year of study and a EUR 100 non-refundable application fee on top. That makes the payable school cost about EUR 19,500 for one year or EUR 39,000 for two, excluding the application fee. Its MSc Digital Marketing and AI leans into data and artificial intelligence and, for this programme, is delivered at Sophia Antipolis (Paris and Lille are SKEMA campuses but are not listed as delivery locations for this MSc). Best for: students who want a data-and-AI slant and a global brand.

NEOMA Business School

NEOMA’s MSc Marketing blends digital, luxury and global marketing strategy, with a Digital & Data Marketing track, taught in Reims, Rouen or Paris. There are two routes: a one-year (about 15-month) track at EUR 19,500 including EUR 500 admin, and a two-year International Pre-Master route at EUR 30,500 including admin (Year 1 EUR 10,500 plus EUR 500 admin; Year 2 EUR 19,000 plus EUR 500 admin). Best for: students drawn to luxury and brand-side marketing rather than pure performance analytics.

Rennes School of Business

For 2026 entry, Rennes charges EUR 18,500 full-time (about INR 20.44 lakh) for the one-year Master 2 route and EUR 28,900 (about INR 31.93 lakh) for the two-year Master 1 plus Master 2 (Rennes School of Business, Fees and scholarships, 2026). The programme’s current name is the MSc in Digital Marketing Management, delivered on the Paris and Rennes campuses. Direct entry to M2 is not automatic on a four-year Indian bachelor’s: Rennes requires either a completed Master 1 (60 master-level ECTS) or a 180-ECTS bachelor’s plus at least three years’ professional experience through the VAPP route, and assesses each qualification individually. Best for: students who want an alternance/apprenticeship option to offset costs. Programme availability does not guarantee an alternance placement: you must meet immigration conditions and secure an eligible employer contract.

Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM)

GEM’s MSc Digital Marketing and Data Analytics runs one year (direct entry) or two years, split between Grenoble and Paris. It is the strongest fit if you want an omnichannel and analytics focus. At EUR 17,950 for the one-year route, it is the lowest-fee dedicated MSc verified here. Best for: data-minded students who want a tech-city base.

Aura: a lower-cost MBA alternative, verify before applying

Aura International School of Management is the lowest-fee option overall, but it is an MBA (a general Business programme with specialisations), not a dedicated MSc in Digital Marketing. As an MBA, tuition is EUR 22,800 over two years (EUR 11,400 per year) plus about EUR 640 in administration fees (EUR 320 per year); its campuses are Paris and Lyon. Aura advertises Digital Marketing as an MBA Business specialisation on a campus page, but its main 2026 programme page currently describes International Business Management, so obtain written confirmation that a Digital Marketing specialisation runs for the 2026 intake before applying. Aura describes its teaching environment as English-speaking, but confirm the language and availability of the proposed specialisation. Note too that post-study APS eligibility is not automatic for an MBA (see the work-and-stay section), so verify your exact credential separately.

What does a digital marketing master’s in France actually cost beyond tuition?

Beyond tuition, plan for a monthly living budget of EUR 600 to 800 (about INR 66,000 to 88,000) outside Paris, and about EUR 900 to 1,200 (about INR 99,000 to 1.33 lakh) in Paris (Campus France India, Self-Care & Security, 2026). Several programmes here deliver in Paris. Over a two-year track that living cost alone adds roughly INR 16 to 30 lakh on top of fees.

Parents, this is the figure that decides the loan, so let us build the real all-in number, not just the sticker fee. Start with tuition from the table, then add these recurring and one-off costs that Indian families often miss.

  • For 2026-27, most students in initial higher education must obtain a CVEC certificate (the student campus-life contribution), either by paying EUR 105 (about INR 11,600) once a year or by claiming an applicable exemption; exempt students (for example, scholarship holders) still normally need an exemption certificate (CVEC, official portal, 2026).
  • The Etudes en France procedure (the online pre-visa application, EEF) carries a Campus France processing fee, paid once before the visa.
  • After you land, you validate your VLS-TS (the long-stay student visa that doubles as your residence permit) online, and a validation fee applies.
  • Living costs of EUR 600 to 800 a month cover food, transport and housing outside Paris; in Paris, budget about EUR 900 to 1,200 a month.

Here is the honest downside, stated plainly. The two-year tracks are not cheap: Rennes at EUR 28,900, GEM at EUR 27,200 and SKEMA at EUR 38,000 push the all-in cost high once you add two years of living expenses. If total spend is your ceiling, a one-year direct-entry track is the honest answer. Work through the full picture with our cost of studying in France breakdown before you commit.

What are the admission requirements?

Admission turns on your bachelor's length and each school's own credit rules. For 2026 entry, Grenoble Ecole de Management routes a three-year bachelor's (180 ECTS) to the two-year MSc and a four-year degree (240 ECTS, including at least 60 ECTS in business-related subjects) to the one-year MSc, and asks for IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80 (Grenoble Ecole de Management, MSc Digital Marketing and Data Analytics, 2026). Your degree and the school decide your track together.

Here is the rule in plain terms, because it drives both your timeline and your fee. ECTS are European credit units, and both your degree length and each school’s own rules set your route. The exact entry rule differs materially by school:

  • GEM: direct one-year entry needs 240 ECTS including at least 60 ECTS in business-related subjects; a three-year bachelor’s (180 ECTS) routes to the two-year track.
  • NEOMA: the one-year route also accepts a three-year bachelor’s plus about one year’s relevant professional experience.
  • SKEMA: Indian three-year bachelor’s holders may enter the one-year MSc with more than three years’ post-graduation work experience.
  • Rennes: direct M2 requires a completed Master 1 (60 master-level ECTS), or a 180-ECTS bachelor’s plus at least three years’ experience via the VAPP route; Rennes assesses each qualification individually.

On tests, the current published admission pages for SKEMA, NEOMA, Rennes and GEM do not list a GMAT or GRE as a mandatory requirement, so you should confirm the requirement for your intake and profile (and check directly with Aura). Accepted English tests differ by school: GEM accepts the Duolingo English Test (100) but states it does not accept TOEIC, while NEOMA accepts TOEIC and the Duolingo English Test but does not publish a minimum on its programme page. Do not assume every school accepts every test. Applicants normally submit academic records, a CV, a motivation statement, English proof and supporting documents; interviews, references, relevant coursework or professional experience may also be required (GEM, for example, asks for a reference and may interview; NEOMA runs a deferred interview). Our France admission requirements guide lists the documents school by school.

When are the intakes and when should you apply?

September is the main intake for a Masters in Digital Marketing in France, and SKEMA also opens a January start. Indian applicants must clear the Campus France Etudes en France procedure, mandatory for any study stay longer than 90 days, before the consulate issues the visa. Apply early, because seats and housing both fill fast.

Treat the calendar as the real deadline, not the school form. Campus France (the French government’s student-mobility agency) runs the Etudes en France procedure. Where an academic interview is required, it must be completed before you proceed to the VFS visa stage. For September entry, begin your school applications during the previous application cycle, and submit the Etudes en France file as soon as you receive unconditional admission, preferably at least three months before the intake.

From the Campus France files we ran for the September 2025 intake, the students who started six months ahead cleared the interview with far less stress than the ones who filed in June. A rushed file is the single most common reason a strong candidate slips a full intake. See the full calendar in our guide to intakes in France.

Which scholarships actually cut the cost?

The flagship government award is the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship, and for the 2026 session only the French institution can apply for it, with no self-application; the cycle deadline was 8 January 2026 and has now closed (Campus France, France Excellence Eiffel scholarship program, 2026). School merit waivers are the more common route for most applicants.

Two funding layers matter here, and they work differently:

  • School merit-based waiver: the more common route, decided at the offer stage. Confirmed 2026 examples: NEOMA scholarships up to EUR 9,000; Rennes SB certain scholarships up to EUR 5,000 (its published 2026 deadline of 30 June 2026 has passed); GEM awards vary, with some reaching 50% of tuition; Aura’s early-enrolment scholarship deadline of 15 June 2026 has also passed.
  • Eiffel Excellence Scholarship: a government stipend, but the school must nominate you.

The waiver is the realistic win for most applicants. Amounts and deadlines shift year to year, so confirm the current figure with each school; our France scholarships guide tracks the current school-by-school waivers.

The second layer is the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship. It is generous, providing a monthly allowance of EUR 1,200 for master’s students from January 2026 (about INR 1.33 lakh a month) (Campus France, France Excellence Eiffel scholarship implementation, 2026). The catch is real: you cannot apply yourself. Your school nominates you, so you must ask the programme office early whether they will put your name forward. The 2026 cycle has closed; next-cycle dates will be added once Campus France publishes them.

Can you work during your masters, and stay after?

Yes. In 2026, international students can work up to 964 hours per year (the cap is annual, not a fixed weekly entitlement, though it works out to roughly 20 hours a week) (Campus France, Working while studying). Treat that part-time income as supplementary only: it is capped and cannot be used to satisfy the visa's proof-of-funds requirement.

Read the work rule and the money rule as two separate things, because students confuse them every year:

  • Work income: the 964-hour annual cap is real earning, often through a student job or, where you are eligible, an alternance contract, and it eases your monthly budget. Hours under an apprenticeship contract can exceed 964, but the employer may then need to obtain the applicable work authorisation.
  • Proof of funds: sufficient financial resources you must document for the visa, separate from anything you earn later in France. What counts depends on your circumstances and the France-Visas checklist, so it is not necessarily limited to a personal bank balance.

On the funds side, the bar rises in 2026. For applications submitted from 1 August 2026, students must demonstrate monthly resources of at least 47% of the gross monthly SMIC (France’s minimum wage) in force on the application date. Based on the SMIC effective from 1 June 2026 (EUR 1,867.02 gross per month), that is about EUR 877.50 per month (about INR 96,946), or roughly EUR 10,530 (about INR 11.63 lakh) for 12 months. Because the amount is indexed to the SMIC, recalculate it before you file (Legifrance, Decree No. 2026-526 of 22 June 2026). Plan your documentation around that figure, not around what you hope to earn. Our guide to part-time jobs in France covers realistic pay.

After you graduate, the stay-back is strong for eligible Indian master’s graduates. Those who obtain a qualifying master-equivalent diploma in France may apply for an APS “Master” (autorisation provisoire de sejour, a temporary job-search residence permit) for 12 months, renewable once, for a maximum job-search period of 24 months, under France’s migration partnership with India (Legifrance, Decree No. 2021-1321, France-India migration and mobility agreement). Eligibility is not automatic simply because a course is called an MBA or MSc: the qualification must be at least master-equivalent and awarded by an appropriately authorised French institution or eligible partnership, so verify that your exact credential and school meet the APS conditions before you enrol. This matters most for the Aura listing, which is an MBA rather than an MSc; do not assume identical APS eligibility across all programmes. This is an APS, not a carte de sejour renewal or the RECE some sites mention. The detail sits in our France post-study work visa guide.

Which programme fits which student?

Budget is the first filter. For 2026 entry, the lowest verified dedicated MSc is GEM at EUR 17,950 for the one-year route (about INR 19.83 lakh), while a SKEMA two-year MSc sits at the top (SKEMA Business School, MSc Digital Marketing and AI, 2026). Aura is a separate, lower-cost MBA option to verify first. Track length and focus decide the rest.

Choosing a Masters in Digital Marketing in France comes down to three things: what you can spend, how long you want to study, and whether you lean toward data or brand. The cards below turn the table into a decision.

Aura, Paris or Lyon

MBA fee of EUR 22,800 over two years plus about EUR 640 admin. A Business specialisation, not a dedicated MSc: confirm the 2026 Digital Marketing specialisation and APS eligibility before applying.
GEM or Rennes, direct M2

One-year direct entry (EUR 17,950 at GEM, EUR 18,500 at Rennes) if you meet the school’s credit rule and want to graduate sooner.
SKEMA or GEM

Analytics-heavy curricula for students aiming at performance marketing, martech and data roles.
NEOMA

Digital, luxury and global strategy blend, best for brand-side and creative career paths.

From our counselling desk: your track, and your total cost, is set by how each school counts your credits, so check your ECTS against each school's own rule before you shortlist, not after the offer. Do not undertake an extra qualification, such as an additional academic year or a PG diploma, solely to qualify for direct M2 without written confirmation from the target school; a generic PG diploma does not automatically equal 60 master-level ECTS or a Bac+4 qualification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes for the four programmes in this guide (SKEMA, Rennes SB and GEM as dedicated digital-marketing MScs, and NEOMA’s MSc Marketing with a Digital & Data Marketing track), which are taught in English, so you do not need French to study. Aura describes its teaching environment as English-speaking, but confirm the language and availability of its proposed specialisation. French still helps for part-time work and daily life.

None of the current admission pages for SKEMA, NEOMA, Rennes or GEM lists a GMAT or GRE as mandatory, though you should confirm for your intake and profile and check directly with Aura. You do need an accepted English test (schools differ on which, for example Duolingo or TOEIC), plus a strong academic file, CV and statement of purpose, and possibly a reference or interview.

It depends on your degree and the school’s credit rules. A four-year bachelor’s can, at some schools, qualify you for the one-year direct-M2 track, which is cheaper and faster. A three-year bachelor’s more often leads to a two-year route containing an additional academic year and, depending on the programme and student eligibility, internships or an alternance option. Confirm each school’s exact rule for your profile.

Part-time earnings may help cover part of a student’s food, transport or other living expenses, but should not be relied on for tuition or the full living budget. The 964-hour yearly cap, at France’s minimum wage, will not cover a EUR 20 lakh fee. Plan tuition through savings or an education loan, and treat part-time pay as a top-up.

For a one-year track, budget roughly INR 30 to 35 lakh all-in: tuition of about INR 18 to 21 lakh plus a year of living costs and fees. A two-year track at a pricier school, or a Paris base, can reach INR 50 lakh or more once two years of living expenses are added.

When we brief students at our Hyderabad and Tirupati offices, the families who decide early on track length and budget are the ones who avoid last-minute loan scrambles. Ardent Overseas has counselled Indian students on French admissions for years, matching each profile to the right school, fee band and Campus France timeline. We help with the shortlist, the Etudes en France file and the visa proof of funds, end to end.
