Application Requirements

1. English proficiency: US Universities require applicants to prove their English proficiency and require the minimum scores below.

  • PTE: a combined score of 58 or 62, preferably no band less than 51.
  • TOEFL IBT: Overall 79 or 90, preferably no band less than 21.

Most of the top universities have deadlines 4 to 6 months prior to the course start date. Some universities have a deadline a month before program commencement. Even though the deadlines are later, it is better to apply as soon as possible to avoid a last-minute rush and increase your admission chances.

Application Procedure:

Step 1: Applications have to be submitted to the University along with all the required documents. No predicted GRE or IELTS Scores are acceptable. The application process will vary from University to University.

Step 2: University will provide an application decision within 4 to 6 weeks of submitting the application. If admitted University will share the offer letter otherwise will send a refusal letter.

Step 3: Once received admission student need to pay an initial deposit (if required) as mentioned in the offer letter. If an initial deposit is not required students need to make I 20 requests.

Step 4: Students need to share financial documents covering their one-year tuition fee as well as one-year living expenses along with a financial support letter with the University to make I 20 requests.

Step 5: Once all the required documents have been received by the University they will process I 20 and issue the same within 2-3 weeks.

Step 6: Once a student receives I 20 student needs to submit DS 160 form and needs to make an appointment at the nearest US Consulate to get their visa stamped. Student needs to pay the SEVIS fee before submitting their visa application at US Consulate.

  • Tuition fees in US universities vary from University to University and from course to course. Still, the average tuition fee is 21000 $.
