Arrival in a new country
So you’ve just landed in the new host city, now what? In our sessions, we will guide you on immigration controls, customs control and how to easily reach your campus from the airport.

One of the first things on your to-do list when you arrive in your new country of study will be to set up a bank account. Having a local bank account will guarantee you easy access to your money to pay for your accommodation, your tuition and living expenses. It also allows your employer to deposit your remuneration in your account if you choose to work during or after studies. We will help you with the steps to start managing your finances in a new city.

A glimpse of local culture
It is helpful to have some knowledge of local culture and customs before arriving in your country of study. This eases your transition into the community and helps you interact more effectively with your new classmates. Half the fun of going abroad is learning what people from other cultures do differently. We will tell you about the culture, activities, local life and even some familiar terms that you will find useful in your new city.
Student life in new country
When studying abroad, you will have to adapt to a new learning environment while getting used to the new cultural norms as a student. Our sessions will teach you about the different learning styles, classroom environments and expectations.
Culture shock
Culture shock is common when you switch to a culture completely different from your own. Since it plays an important role in adapting to your country of study, we will discuss the different stages (honeymoon, frustration, adjustment and acceptance) of our sessions. We will also guide you with simple techniques to know if you are experiencing culture shock, what stage you are in and how to deal with it.
