Scholarships Offered by Leeds Trinity University

Leeds Trinity University offers Scholarship and Bursary to support students of diverse backgrounds and recognize academic excellence.

Leeds Trinity Bursary: This bursary offers an annual £500 financial award for UK students from households with a household income of £25,000 or less. Eligible students receive the bursary automatically and students do not have to apply separately.

Academic Achievement Award: This award is worth a £1,000 one off payment to students with high grades on entry such as AAB at A-Level or an equivalent qualification. It acknowledges and rewards academic excellence at the beginning of students’ university journey.

Care Experienced Bursary: If you are a student who has been in care or under local authority care, then you can receive a bursary of £1,000 a year. This provides care leavers with financial support specifically for higher education without financial barriers to overcome.

Estranged Students Bursary: The estranged family bursary gives £1,000 a year to any student under 25 who is estranged from his or her family. It provides financial aid to financially independent students who lack family support.

Progress Fee Waiver on a Two-Year Foundation Degree: If you have completed a two-year foundation degree and are continuing your studies with Leeds Trinity, Eligible students may receive a tuition fee credit to assist the cost of continued study.

Bursary Journalism Diversity Fund: Students from underrepresented backgrounds who are pursuing a degree in Journalism are supported through this scholarship. The organization seeks to increase diversity within the media field, by providing financial aid.

Entry Requirements at Leeds Trinity University

International students are welcomed from all backgrounds and experiences by Leeds Trinity University.

Accepted tests and minimum scores for most undergraduate programs include:

IELTS Academic: And at a minimum overall score of 6.0, and no component score lower than 5.5.

TOEFL iBT: A total score of 79 − 89 on the overall scale with minimum scores  of 18(reading), 17(listening), 20(speaking), and 17(writing).

Pearson PTE Academic: A total score of 59–75 and not a single component below 59.

Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): Overall score: No section lower than 162 but 169 overall.

For Indian students, the following are also accepted:

Senior School Certificate (Class XII): The minimum requirement in English is 70% or above for September 2024 entry and 65% or above for January 2025 entry when awarded by recognized boards (CBSE, CISCE, etc) or by specific state boards (Maharashtra State Board, Telangana State Board, Andhra Pradesh State Board, etc.).

For some postgraduate and certain specialized undergraduate programs, such as BSc Nursing or Biomedical Science may require higher english proficency. For example, a minimum IELTS score may be required of 7.0 overall with specific section requirement.
