Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship
It is one of the flagship scholarships offered by the university, international students can either receive a full tuition fee waiver or half of the tuition fee discount. Deakin STEM Scholarship

Only students from specified countries including China, Cambodia, Kenya, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam are eligible, satisfying entry requirements and English language tests requisites are mandatory. Beneficiary students will get 20% tuition fee reduction on normal course duration, no separate application is required, university will check the eligibility to award the scholarship. Australia Awards Scholarship

Entry Requirements for the Deakin University
For Undergraduate Courses
- Applicants seeking entry into undergraduate programs must complete Senior Secondary Certificate with ATAR of 50
- Or else, applicants must complete Certificate IV or Diploma in concerned subject or complete at least two relevant units of the university
- For English language requirements, applicants must have the following tests scores
- IELTS – 6.0 overall
- CEFR Level – Independent User B2
- VCE English – minimum score of 20 with units 3 and 4
For Postgraduate Courses
- Applicants must have a three years bachelor’s degree or similar qualification or have a two years of relevant work experience
- They should also have minimum score of 6.5 overall score in IELTS
- For Master’s Degree by Coursework, applicants must have bachelor’s degree in the concerned subject, few courses also ask for work experience
- They should also have a minimum overall score of 6.5 in IELTS
- For few master’s degrees with more credit points, a bachelor’s degree will suffice for entry
For Higher Degrees by Research
- For Master’s degree by research, a bachelor’s degree with second class honors and 6.5 overall score in IELTS is mandatory
- For Doctoral programs, a Master’s degree with research or similar qualification with a strong research proposal and 6.5 overall score in IELTS
- In addition, few program specific requirements are also necessary like proof of previous research achievements.
