Munster Technological University (MTU) is a multi-branch university incepted in the year 2021 through an amalgamation of Cork Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Tralee. The university has an abundant student strength of 18000 including 1000 overseas students from 140 different nationalities. University instrumentally offers a favorable environment for students to excel in diverse technological aspects through multiple academic programs that stimulates the overall development and skills efficiency of the students. Entry Requirements for the Munster Technological University
Undergraduate Program
- Applicants must have an overall percentage of 60 and minimum percentage of 60 in preferred subject.
Leaving Certificate
- Applicants must have a minimum grade of 06/H7 in English, Mathematics and three other subjects.
For English Proficiency
- Applicants must show evidence of english proficiency through following tests
- IELTS – minimum score of 6.0 for level 1 and minimum score of 6.5 for level 2 not less than 5.5 in section for level 1 and not less than 6.0 in any section for level 2.

- Cambridge English – Minimum score of 169 for level 1 and 176 for level 2 with not less than 162 in any section.

- DUOLINGO – Minimum of 110 in level 1 and 120 for level 2 respectively with not less than 100 in any section.
