Scholarships Offered by University of Roehampton

International Excellence Scholarship

Eligibility: For overseas fee-paying students who are high achieving international undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our scholarships are available for both our September and January intakes.

Award:

  1. £4,000 per year
  2. £2,500 per year
  3. £1,000 per year

Application Details: Academic merit is automatically considered by candidates. Not to be combined with other Roehampton scholarships or discounts.

The Sciences Scholarship

  1. Eligibility: For arts, humanities and social sciences programs, international students enrolled in particular courses.
  2. Award: For the first year of study, tuition fees are discounted by £1,500.
  3. Application Details: It automatically applies for eligible programs/course like Dance, Journalism, Criminology and more. It cannot be used with other scholarships.

Country Scholarships

  1. Eligibility: Intended for students from one of the selected countries. To apply you must already hold a conditional offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course.
  2. Award: Scholarship A: The UK fee is £2,500 per year for students coming from countries like Bangladesh, Nigeria, Nepal, Ghana and more. It charges students from countries like Turkey, South Africa and Malaysia £1,500 a year.
  3. Application Details: Awarded automatically at time of enrolment. Discounted as a tuition fee.

Sports grant

  1. Eligibility: open to aspiring international students who excel in sports as it aids them to integrate their studies with their sporting commitment.
  2. Award: They also receive access to gym facilities and funds of between £500 £1,500 per year, competition travel costs and support network.
  3. Application Details: The Sport and Active Communities Manager requires an application and assessment.

Esports Scholarships

  1. Eligibility: The degree is open at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for students who prove that they have aptitude in esports.
  2. Award: £2,000 per year of study.
  3. Application Details: There is a separate online application, and a panel reviews this. Cannot be used in conjunction with the Roehampton Women in Esports Scholarship.

The Roehampton Women in Esports Scholarship

  1. Eligibility: Esports that are inclusive for female students at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  2. Award: £2,000 per year.
  3. Application Details: Needs another app, to be assessed by a panel.

Internship and Placement University of Roehampton

Undergraduate Placement

  1. Purpose: Work experience is important, you can use your time to gain experience, develop and expand your professional network, and use those academic skills in real work settings. Fill your CV with things that make you go beyond the job application.
  2. Compulsory Placements: Some programs such as Primary Education, PGCE and Nursing have mandatory placements. Details are on their course pages.

Entry Requirements for University of Roehampton

Postgraduate Programs

Academic Requirements: Should hold a First-Class Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.

PTE Academic: Total score of 59 and scores of no more than 59 on one or more of the ten subtests.

Alternatives: Degree with English at 70 percent of Standard XII in India; or passing a degree taught in English.

International Foundation Certificate course.

  1. Eligibility: Completed standard XII (or its equivalent) without any specified percentage.
