Creative Industries and Communication Scholarship

  1. Eligibility: Available to all new international students (excl UK & Rep of Ireland) undertaking a relevant postgraduate first year course starting September 2024.
  2. Award Amount: Tuition fee Coverage or a significant fee discount.

The International Postgraduate Scholarship

  1. Eligibility: Available to new international students studying a full time postgraduate course (excluding UK and Republic of Ireland).

Entry Requirements at Ulster University

Entry requirements at Ulster University are inclusive and wide-ranging to meet the needs of a world of diverse qualifications, making them friendly and welcoming to both UK and international students.

General Requirements: Students should have a minimum of three A levels at CCC or equivalent.

International Qualifications:

  1. Indian Applicants: Indian Standard XII: For the overall course, a minimum of 60% in five subjects, of which 60% in subjects relevant to the course.
  2. Minimum pass in Three Year Diploma in engineering or technology from State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 60%.

International Baccalaureate (IB):

  1. Diploma with specific point valued course (refer to program prospectus).
  2. Alternative Pathways: Subject to course, access courses, Scottish Higher, QQI Level 5 and foundation degrees are accepted.

Postgraduate Study

  1. Qualifications: Typically a UK first degree or equivalent is required.
  2. For Indian applicants:
  3. Bachelor’s Degree with: 60% (2:We provide detailed design notes for noncompetitive programs, and approaches (1 equivalent) for competitive programs.
  4. 55% (2:For standard programs, we use 2 equivalent)

Field-Specific Requirements:

  1. Work experience or an additional qualification may be required for some courses.
  2. Other English proficiency tests recognized by the university are also accepted.

Application Process

  1. All academic transcripts and relevant qualifications are submitted and verified through Qualification Check by applicants.
  2. Students may be offered conditional places, requiring the completion of stated conditions prior to course commencement.
  3. The problem for people over 50 is that, after their 50s, some muscles within the lungs stop functioning efficiently.

Course-Specific Requirements: programs in fields of Engineering, Health Sciences and Business may require additional criteria such as having completed prior courses related to the discipline or having higher grades in selected areas.
