Entry Requirements for University of Surrey

There are clear and well-defined entry requirements for all undergraduate, graduate and pathway programs at the University of Surrey.

If you wish to start an undergraduate course you must have completed A Levels, Baccalaureate or equivalent.

Qualifications: A-levels, BTECs, European Baccalaureate, and International Baccalaureate: The University and course specific requirements vary, and details can be found on individual program pages.

Indian Applicants: Standard XII Equivalencies:

  1. A*AA: In ICSE/CBSE/ISC boards 90% and in West Bengal 80%, and in any other boards it is 92%.
  2. AAA: But for 85% row ICSE/CBSE/ISC boards, 75% row West Bengal board and 90% row other boards.
  3. Minimum in English: 70% CBSE/ISC and 80% other state boards, except.
  4. Mathematics: CBSE / ISC Standard X 50% state boards Minimum 40%.

Pathway Options: They include students not meeting direct entry requirements who can take up Pre Masters-Program in Management, Finance, Engineering and Health Sciences.

Postgraduate Research Requirements

  1. Usually requires:
  2. A bachelor’s degree equivalent to a 2:1 UK honors degree.
  3. A relevant master’s degree.
  4. Research proposal for PhD applications.

English Language Requirements

Undergraduate and Postgraduate: No IELTS requirement for Indian students with:
