Entry Requirements for Robert Gordon University

Standard Academic Requirements:

  1. Year 1 Entry: Overall average by 60% in year 12 state board high school exams.
  2. Year 2 Entry (Advanced): I have got 70% overall in Year 12 state board high school examinations.
  3. Subject-Specific Requirements: Some programs require specific grades in some subjects or even additional steps. Individual course pages detail them.

English Language Proficiency:

  1. The majority of undergraduate programs require an overall score of IELTS 6.0 (No band lower than 5.5).

Alternative Qualifications: RGU accepts equivalent qualifications, including:

Academic Qualifications:

  1. General Entry: Minimum of one A level, or equivalent, with a grade of C, or DDE at Ordinary Level in two other subjects, or equivalent. University degree with an overall average of at least 55% (equivalent to 2:2 in the British grading system).
  2. English Language Proficiency: The minimum IELTS requirement for most postgraduate programs is 6.5, with nil band lower than 5.5.
  3. While the minimum proficiency score listed above might be all that is required for some programs as indicated on the specific course pages, there may be some requiring a higher proficiency score.

Pathway Programs: Pre master’s program can be pursued by students not meeting direct entry criteria, through RGU’s International College.

English Language Requirements

Accepted English Tests: They accept IELTS, TOEFL or other secure English language tests.

Country-Specific Guidance: Admissions information and equivalencies for qualifications are offered to applicants from many countries including India with specific guidance for each country.
