Success Scholarship

Eligibility: For students receiving at least 55 ECTS credits in the academic year and completing all compulsory studies in due time, available from second year onwards.
Amount: 30% of the tuition fee, approximately 3,450 EUR is deducted from the tuition fee of the upcoming year.

Scholarship for Continuous Progress

Maximum Value: Up to $27,072 annually Eligibility Available to returning international students who have progressed through their studies according to the course of study.
Value: Fee waiver (reduction of up to 1500 EUR) for students who will be completing 55−60 ECTS and hold excellent results.

Final Thesis Scholarship

Entrance Requirements: Provided to international students who finish their degree in the orbit time and present a distinguished thesis.
However, this metric is only valuable in certain situations, as those related to the fee are often excluded from certain calculations.

Double Degree Mobility Grant

Eligibility: This scholarship is available to students enrolled in a double degree program at an international partner institution.
Funding Type: Variable grant, usually between 1,000–3,000 EUR, based on the duration and location of the mobility period.

Entry Requirement for Turku University

Academic Qualifications for Bachelor’s Degree Programs

You will need to hold one of the qualifications that qualify for higher education study in your home country.
If you are applying with the SAT, you must receive a minimum score of 400 for both the Math and Reading & Writing sections.
Only the new SAT (taken after March 2016) is accepted for admission.
Certain programs may need you to have specific subject awareness (scientific or mathematical knowledge).
The admission is done through the Finnish joint application system, which takes place usually in spring and autumn.

English Requirements – Bachelor’s Degree Program

It is expected a minimum CEF level B2 (in English language).
Accepted certificates are IELTS Academic (minimum of 6.0 achieved) or TOEFL iBT (minimum score of 78).
Proof of previous study undertaken in English may also be accepted as evidence of English proficiency.
Exchange students are not required to submit an English language test, but their competency is expected.
Native speakers of English may be exempt from providing test results.

Academic Requirements – Master’s Degree Program

The applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution.
Usually at least two years of practical experience in a field related to the degree post the completion of the degree is needed.
The degree must be directly relevant to the program applied for.
Submit official academic transcripts and evidence of completion of degree.
As a prerequisite, you may need other documents, like a desire letter or portfolio.

English Language Requirements

Most of these courses require IELTS Academic with an overall score of at least 6.0 with no elements lower than 5.5.
TOEFL iBT minimum score of 78, with a strong writing section.
An applicant may also prove knowledge of English through previously earned degrees taught solely in the English language.
Other accepted certificates are PTE Academic, Cambridge English Qualifications, or CEFR B2 level results.
There must be demonstrations of English Language skills when application submission happens beforehand of the deadline itself.

Tuition-fee-paying students are required to pay €11,500 a year unless they receive a scholarship.
