Scholarships offered by the Charles Darwin University

Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarship  

International students with high academic achievements are awarded with 50% of tuition fee waiver. It is applicable for both bachelor’s and master’s programs, students must start their studies either in semester 1 or 2 in 2024, should meet English language entry requirements along with 95% in the last completed qualification. International fee paying students with no other scholarships at the university. The last date for applications for semester 1 is 13th January 2024 and 13th June 2024 for semester 2.

CDU Global Merit Scholarship 2024/25

International students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses are eligible for 30% tuition fee waiver. International students studying full-time at campuses of Sydney, Alice Springs or Darwin with satisfactory academic and English language entry requirements are eligible. No separate application is needed, students will be assessed at the time of course application submission

CDU Bachelor in Nursing Scholarship 2024

International students opting and enrolling for nursing courses at the university in semester 1 2024, with satisfactory English language entry requirements, full-time studying at Sydney or Darwin campuses are eligible for 20% tuition fee waiver. There is no separate application, university will check eligibility and award scholarship at the time of course application submission

CDU International College Merit Scholarship 2025

International students gets 30% fee discount in the first year of few selected preparatory courses at the university. To be eligible, international students must be newly enrolled, fee paying with satisfactory academic and English language entry requirements. They must also attend an interview for merit assessment and describing their motivation for international studies, must demonstrate leadership skills. Application and interview is mandatory to avail this scholarship

Dili International School Scholarship

International students will be eligible for AU$ 12,900 tuition fee discount every year along with accommodational expenses for a period of 3 years course study. For eligibility, students must enroll for semester 1, 2024 or semester 1, 2025 entry, should have satisfactory academic and English language entry requirements. Students must also have an year 12 qualification from Dili International School and required ATAR scores. An application with 600 words statement is mandatory to avail this scholarship

Entry Requirements for the Charles Darwin University

For Undergraduate Courses

  • Completion of Australia year 12 or its similar qualifications. Some courses require subject specific percentage and elevated grades scores
  • 60% in four subjects, including English for CBSE, ISC and SSC boards are accepted
  • 75% in four subjects, including English for Punjab and Haryana boards. Local language, non-academic, physical and any experience is excluded
  • 65% for in four subjects for rest of India

For Postgraduate Courses

  • Bachelor’s degree from recognized university with similar to Australian degree. However, few courses requires overall grade score, prior work experience and knowledge

For Research Degree Programs

  • First or second class honors bachelor degree with master degree with a strong research proposal
  • For PhD, First or second class honors bachelor degree, master’s degree with strong research proposal

For English language proficiency

  • IELTS – 6.0 overall and 6.0 in all components
  • TOEFL iBT – 60 overall score
