Seven campuses in the Central Ontario region, Georgian College offers high quality education, superior student satisfaction, and excellent graduation rates. It has seven campuses including Barrie; Midland; Muskoka; Orangeville; Orillia, and Owen Sound and South Georgian Bay. The college has more than 13,500 full-time students in over 130 programs and more than 7,000 international students from 123 countries. Georgian is only one of 34 colleges in Canada to be an Ashoka changemaker college and is recognized globally for its campuswide approach to building a culture of innovation and changemakers. With a student work placement rate of 90.3 per cent, and an emphasis on applied work and studies, Georgian provides more than 110 market-driven programs, including degrees, diplomas, certificates, and Ontario graduate certificates; as well as apprenticeship, co-op and e-entrepreneurial education programs and courses.

Changemaker Recognition: Georgian is the first and only college in Canada to earn the designation as an Ashoka U changemaker College; awarded with this designation for the Micheline Saint-Cyr Award for social innovation and entrepreneurship and completion of social initiatives that equip students to become changemakers.

Campus Facilities at Georgian College
Innovative Technology Centres: Barrie Campus One of the first in the region, The Peter B. Moore Advanced Technology Centre provides students and industry partners access to fabrication labs, incubators, research spaces, and collaborative areas where they will work on significant business challenges.
On-Campus Housing and Accommodations: The campus has housing on all three campuses (Barrie, Orillia, and Owen Sound) and provides safe, furnished accommodation as well as academic and social support. Mental Health and Wellness Services: The college provides counselling, peer support, wellness workshops and mental health resources online. At Georgian, we work and learn together, from the students we teach to the people we employ. Multiple Campuses
Barrie Campus: Barrie has the largest and most diversified campus, Barrie has health sciences, technology, and business offerings. It also provides an easily accessible living and learning environment with its on-campus accommodation, high-tech centre, and a full range of services for students.
Orillia Campus: Orillia is focused on human service and safety for the community, as well as police programs, and provides on-campus housing and community-based education.
Owen Sound Campus: Both the marine and the trades programs exist on site, as do residential and hands-on training buildings that were constructed to have on campus.
Midland and Muskoka Campuses: These campuses boast a low student to faculty ratio, and are particularly ideal for students pursuing health, business, and community programs. They are in small, insular communities and they have a rural life experience.
Bay Campus and Orangeville Campus: Satellite campuses like those have programs in business, health, and general education. They attract local students with flexible options and all the services of college on the more massive campuses.

Scholarships Offered by Georgian College
Entrance Scholarship for International Students: Worth of Award CAD 2,000 (The scholarship will be granted in the first semester tuition fee (N.B. It will not go directly to the student as cash). Based on academic achievement – Student must be attending a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis.
Georgian College Bursary: Canadian and international students who demonstrate financial need are considered for this bursary, which is worth up to CAD 1,500 annually.

Academic Excellence Scholarship: The award is between $1,000 and $1,500 and is open to the students at a facility with an average of 85% plus up to a year.
Indigenous Student Awards: Valued at up to $3,000 annually, the scholarships are for Indigenous scholars who have shown academic achievement and community participation. Students are required to be program-eligible and self-select.
Co-op Student of the Year Award: This $1,000 award is in recognition of having excelled as a co-op student. Students must be nominated by either employers or faculty members and write a reflection about what they have learned.

Entry Requirements at Georgian College
Undergraduate Entry Requirements (International Students): Applicants should have OSSD (or equivalent). This shall include 12U English and 12U one math or one science (related to the program to which they have applied). You want to score around 60-70% on the core subjects.
Postgraduate and Graduate Certificate Programs: Applicants must have completed post-secondary education or degree with a preference for applicants with experience in a related role. Some programs also may require related work experience. Some competitive programs may require a minimum GPA, along with any other necessary materials, such as a resume or a statement of interest.

English Language Proficiency: All programs will expect international students to prove their ability to speak English one of the following ways:
- IELTS (Academic) Overall score of 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5)
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum 79
- PTE Academic: 58

Preparatory and Pathway Programs: And students who do not meet admission requirements can also apply for EAP (English for Academic Purposes) or Academic and Career Preparation to support students to make the move to diploma or certificate studies.
Credential Evaluation and Conditional Offers: Candidates from abroad or other provinces in Canada may require upgrading. A place offer may also be made conditional upon language or academic conditions.

Acceptance Rate
- High Admission Rate: Acceptance rate Georgian College acceptance rate is high, about 80-90% range. This makes it one of Canada’s more affordable colleges. All who qualify on the minimum academic and language level will be offered a place.
- Meeting the Basic Criteria: Most applicants who have met the minimum general entrance requirement (completion of the BC Secondary School graduation requirements, including specific prerequisite undergraduate subject requirements) are admitted.
- Selective Health and Nursing Programs: Some health science/nurses are more competitive. These may ask for a greater minimum grade typically between 75% and 85% and may include additional elements such as personal statements or proof of relevant experience.
- English Proficiency for International Students: International applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English. Applicants should hold an IELTS of 6.0 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component) or equivalent TOEFL, Duolingo or PTE Academic.
- Additional Admission Materials: Candidates also could be asked to submit resumes, work portfolios or letters of intent, depending on the program. These are hugely useful, especially for design, fine arts, and graduates certificate programs, and they give our admissions team a way to see if an applicant is ready for a particular program in lots of ways that grades by themselves may not be able to express.
