Internship Abroad Program: Students pursuing programs like BSc and MSc in economics & business administration, MSc in Auditing & Accounting get the opportunity of internship abroad with 7.5 ECTS credits alongside practical learning. Application Process & Eligibility Criteria
Application Process: Students must find an appropriate internship and submit internship approval form before the deadline. After securing approval, they must attend pre-departure workshop. Registration of internship will be done in the study plan.
Eligibility Criteria: Internship must at least 150 hours of work at professional settings, it must integrate challenging projects in economics and business studies. Students are not allowed to get interned at home country, only physical internship is recognized, no remote internship. A valid health insurance is mandatory. Furthermore, internships at Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Career Center facilitated internships get automatic approval.
Special Internship Opportunities: NHH partners with Norwegian chamber of commerce in Japan, allowing students to get interned at Japan with corporate members Rikkyo University. Additionally, ERASMUS+ Program internships receive financial grant as well.

Entry Requirements at NHH Norwegian School of Economics
For Undergraduate Entry (Business, Economics & Data Science Programs): Applicants must a secondary school qualification at par with Norwegian standards for university admission. Further, thorough proficiency in Mathematics and English is mandatory as per educational background.
For Mathematical Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate evidence of mathematical proficiency via, Mathematics R1 or S1 + S2, International Baccalaureate applicants must furnish Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (SL/HL) or Mathematics: Applications & Interpretations (SL/HL). Applicants who fails to demonstrate aforementioned proficiency should attend OMPT-F online mathematics exam.
For English Language Proficiency
- Applicants must show evidence of English language proficiency via following tests, IELTS Academic – overall score of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT – minimum score of 80 or Cambridge English – a score of 173 or PTE Academic – overall score of 59.
- For International Baccalaureate applicants, English A (SL/HL) – a grade of 03 or English B (SL/HL) – a grade of 05.
Application Deadlines: Deadlines differs as per applicant’s country of origin, for EU/EEA applicants, February 15th and diploma submission by July 5th. Conditional admission is facilitated for applicants who are graduating same year. For Non-EU/EEA applicants, November 15th is the last date. Conditional admission is not available on predicted scores.
For Postgraduate Entry (MSc in Economics & Business Administration Program): Applicants need a bachelor’s degree (3-years) equivalent to Norwegian university degree. Prescribed ECTS credits are mandatory in the disciplines of economics and business administration or any other related field. Few programs may demand additional requirements.
For English Language Proficiency: Applicants must show evidence of English language proficiency via following tests, IELTS Academic – overall score of 6.5 or TOEFL iBT – minimum score of 90 or Cambridge English (C1 advanced & C2 proficiency) – a score of 180 or PTE Academic – overall score of 62.
Application Deadlines: For Non-EU/EEA applicants, December 1st is the last date, while EU/EEA applicants can apply before February 15th .
Additional Requirements & Key Notes: Exchange program students must satisfy the school’s requirements, as it differs according to partner university. Although work experience is not mandatory for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, but it consolidates the application. Programs are taught either in English or Norwegian languages only.
