College of New Caledonia (CNC) is one of the largest colleges in Manitoba, serving a large area and offering certificate, diploma, and degree programs. Entry Requirements at College of New Caledonia
General Academic Requirements: High school graduate is required, with program-specific prerequisites, which vary by program (i.e., Math, or English, or both).
English Language Proficiency: International Students: Applicants who have completed studies overseas are required to have their qualifications assessed by one of the following: IELTS 6.0 (no individual band less than 5.5); TOEFL (iBT) 79; or equivalent.

Acceptance rate: The College of New Caledonia acceptance rate is approximately 50% so you will need to be a decent student to get accepted into the school. What this looks like is that an applicant needs to meet certain academic criteria, but the college also looks at non-academic things.
CNC applications are considered on an individual basis and earlier year standing, academic merit, interview and for some previous work or volunteer experience are considered. Some programs particularly in health care, skilled trades, or the performing arts may require an assessment (e.g., cognitive skills, interview, audition).
This intermediate selectivity enables CNC to promote a trade-off between quality of postsecondary education and accessibility of the community, as regards students aspiring to go to college and students considering transferring to a university.’ Applicants are advised to apply early, submit all their paperwork, and become eligible for admission.
