CPCO is an organization of Catholic education in Ontario, Canada. It has since grown to become a Northern Ontario powerhouse for post-secondary education, and a reality for hundreds of thousands of students. Headquartered in Sudbury, it also has satellite campuses in Espanola and Little Current, and its programming ranges from trades to technology, business and health sciences, and the arts. Cambrian accepts more than 11,000 full-time and part-time learners per year and takes in more than 1,600 international students from more than 40 countries. Student Life at Cambrian College

Vibrant Campus Culture: Cambrian has a wide range of student clubs and societies where students can choose to enrol in academic, cultural, or hobby clubs. This makes it an ideal place for students to meet and get to know one another and develop friendships that will last a lifetime.

Student Government and Leadership: The Cambrian Students’ Administrative Council (CSAC) organizes events, lobbies for students needs and collaborates closely with clubs and projects. Students can run for leadership, or join a committee, and work to affect change on campus.

Recreation and Athletics: The college provides high participation rates via intramurals, recreational sports leagues, and a fully accomplished gymnasium. Students have many options to keep them active and healthy, be they basketball, volleyball, or yoga.

Scholarships Offered by Cambrian College

Cambrian International Excellence Award: This bursary gives Excellence Awards of $1,000 CAN, available to the best international students for post-secondary full-time studies. 70% and above in recent year of study Academic merit programmed leadership Community service.

President’s Gold Scholarship: Valued at $2,000.00 CAD each and awarded to outstanding students based on academic performance and contributions to the community. Domestic or International applicant GPA 85% + Background in volunteer or extracurricular leadership.

Entrance Bursary for International Students: This bursary is based on the criteria of financial need and academic merit and is available to first-year international students and is worth $1,500 CDN. Candidates need to show financial need as well as academic capability (achieved 70 as per GPA).

Cambrian Leadership Scholarship: This scholarship of dollar1,000 CAD is available for students that show leadership in clubs, sports, and community organizations. It awards students that contribute to campus life and attain at least an 80% GPA.

Indigenous Student Bursary: This is a $2,000 (CDN) award which is based on the criteria of community involvement, cultural participation & academic achievement. Indigenous applicants are welcome to apply and should submit a supplemental statement of purpose on their goals.

Internships and Placement at Cambrian College

Co-op and Field Placement Opportunities: Cambrian college programs include field placements or coop work placements. For example, those studying environmental studies, business and nursing have been able to get real-world training in real jobs. They gain experience working in the community with employers.

Entry Requirements at Cambrian College

Undergraduate Academic Requirements: International applicants are required to have Canadian secondary school graduation equivalent for diploma and certificate programs. Prerequisites Many programs may have required subjects such as math, biology, or chemistry and may have minimum grades required.

Postgraduate Program Requirements: A related college diploma or university degree is also required for graduate certificate programs. Some programs may also demand related professional experience or additional application materials, including a portfolio or letters of recommendation.

English Language Proficiency: Cambrian will look at scores as low as:

  1. IELTS: 6.0 overall with no element less than 5.5.
  2. TOEFL iBT: 80.
  3. PTE: 58.
  4. Certain programs (usually in healthcare or education) might require stronger language skills.
